Pseudoarc: n Directions Drawn
From 2004 to the present I have been working on an installation with a group of topologists and mathematicians. We call the show, Pseudoarc, n Directions Drawn. Our website is at: pseudoarc.org
For this exhibit, I've created pieces that attempt to visualize or re-think visually a topological construct called Pseudoarc. This geometric object is like a line, but instead of it being a straight line, i.e. the shortest distance between two points, A and B, the Pseudoarc is the longest distance between two points A and B. It is, from the standpoint of theoretical topology an infinitely crooked line.
On this page, I've collected images from the installation and reproduced a few pages from a bookwork that came out of the project. It is called: Pseudobook.
